Concert raises over £3,000 for Mayor's Relief Fund and Goldies Charity

A concert in Bath Abbey on June 5 at the close of the Mayoral year brought together talented music groups from across the city. It was organised by the Mayor of Bath, Cllr Malcolm Lees, and choir leader Grenville Jones.
 
A packed Abbey resounded to the Bath Spa Band as well as the singing of the Bath Good Afternoon Choir, The Welcome Choir, THE Bath Chorus and the Oldfield Park Junior School Choir. The Mayor himself compered the evening.
 
The concert raised £3,000 which will be divided between the Mayor’s Relief Fund and the Golden-Oldies Charity. The beneficiaries were chosen by the Mayor himself and the concert was generously supported by Bath Lions Club, Bath Abbey, The Charter Trustees of Bath and the Medlock Charitable Trust.
