THE GOLDIES SHOP - KEYNSHAM HIGH STREET
Goldies opened their Charity Shop on Keynsham High Street in March 2016. Since that time, the shop has gone from strength to strength with ever increasing popularity with both shoppers and donors, without whom, we wouldn't survive. Shopping with us and donating to us helps the Charity to support the regular singing sessions held in both the local community and further afield.
DONATING
We always love to receive your donations to raise vital funds for the Charity. Remember, donations should be of good enough quality to be sold, as when we receive dirty, broken or poor quality items, the Charity has to pay for them to be disposed of. Money we'd much rather spend on supporting our older people.
We would love to receive your pre-loved items including:
- Clothing (ladies, mens and children)
- Shoes
- Accessories
- Jewellery and watches
- Electrical items (kitchen appliances, TVs, radios, hair stylers, lamps, etc)
- Bric-a-brac (ornaments, pictures, crockery, decorative items, etc)
- Craft supplies
- Books, DVD, Blu Ray, CD and Records
- Memorabilia
- Toys
Please be aware that due to health and safety we are not able to accept food, car seats, pushchairs, moses baskets, high chairs, cots, toys without the CE mark, bicycles, water aids, crash helmets, duvets and pillows (although bedding is absolutely fine) or anything deemed to be dangerous or a weapon.
Please donate during opening hours via the front door, or for heavier donations, feel free to use the rear entrance on Ashton Way. Look for the blue and yellow signs and ring the doorbell to the right of the double white doors. Please do not leave donations outside of opening hours as this is often subject to theft and damage in poor weather conditions.
If you are eligible, please help us to claim an additional 25p on each £1 we make on your donations by signing up to GiftAid. You only need fill in the form once and you'll be registered for each subsequent donation you make.
VOLUNTEERING
There's always room for more volunteers. Without our superb team of committed and hard working volunteers, we just wouldn't be able to process all our wonderful donations for sale.
The joy of volunteering often lies in the unknown! You just never know what you're going to pull out of a bag next, what someone will bring to the till to buy or leave as a donation. Designer handbags, brand new shoes, antiques and collectables.
Jobs include sorting clothing, restocking the shop, serving our customers at the till, designing each weeks new window display, steaming, cleaning and many other things in between.
To find out more about volunteering, or indeed anything related to
The Goldies Shop, please call 0117 329 3910. We'd love to hear from you.
