Wednesday July 6th 2022 - Forced by Covid to cancel all of its daytime FUN Sing&Smile sessions in 2020, the Golden-Oldies Charity took their FUN weekly singalongs online with www.goldieslive.com

Goldies takes off in East London!

The Golden-Oldies Charity also has an award-winning primary schools inter-generational programme. For the past four years this has been based on projects linked to WW1 1914-1918. In September 2018 came the announcement that the Goldies Schools Project had won the prestigious National Lottery Awards - 2018, Education Category. Our video below shows the moment that Katherine Jenkins "suprised" the children at Thornhill Primary to announce that Goldies had won the Award. Thursday, October 6th - Goldies who attend the regular sessions across Swindon celebrated the 10th year of the charity in the Town with a special party at Coleview Community Centre, Stratton St Margaret. Thanks to the support of SWINDON BOROUGH COUNCIL, Goldies goes from strength to strength across the Town and you can click HERE for further information for all the sessions. "Doing La Bamba' in the video above with our session leader Alison are the folk who attended the party where a new book of songs was also introduced. All of them being the choices of the folk who attend the sessions across Swindon Town. Pictured here are just some of the folk who attended.
Tuesday November 22nd 2016 - Goldies Essex leader Rob Cadman leads a session at the Braintree Library where the special guests were from Beckers Green Primary School. Regular sessions at the Library will commence from February 6th 2017 in the mornings from 10.30am - 11.30am - everyone welcome. Here is a short video clip of the session...

In November our charity started a new session in Silsden at the Methodist Church just outside Bradford. Special guest was the Lord Mayor of Bradford and a packed church filled the room with Goldies favourite songs led by Grenville Jones. We plan to introduce more Yorkshire sessions in 2016 reaching out to isolated older people. The film below was taken by 'Creative Support.'
